This week in the garden, the harvests officially began! We picked ourĀ first yellow squash, aĀ cucumber, and aĀ banana pepperāall warm-weather milestones that say summer is here. šš„š¶ļø
But it wasnāt all sunshine and snacksāthe squash vine borer made its move, and we jumped into action. TwoĀ zucchini plantsĀ are now in place as reinforcements, carefully planted and staked to stand strong. āļø
In sweeter news,Ā Anna planted her lavenderĀ in a little pot of her own, officially joining the garden club. And for the first time, we added a bit of greenĀ insideĀ the house tooāour very first houseplants: a prettyĀ Pink Princess PhilodendronĀ and a strikingĀ Ficus elastica āTinekeā. Stay tuned to see how they settle in!
šØ Family Fun
This week kicked off our first Maker Monday at the public libraryāand it was a hit! The girls got creative with mixed media art, diving into a world of textures, colors, and plenty of glue. šļøāØ
After our masterpieces were complete, we loaded up on new books to keep the summer stories flowing. Thereās something magical about walking out of the library with a bag full of possibilities (and maybe a few overdue returns šš).
And we didnāt stop at booksāwe also snagged some goodies from their free seed library! New seeds = new garden dreams. š±š
Back at home, we cooked up some culinary creativity tooāmaking a fun 3-way pizza to fit everyoneās tastes! š One section with dairy-free cheese, one with classic mozzarella, and one with a fresh caprese-style twist. A little something for everyone, and 100% delicious.
Library days, art time, seed scores, and pizza experiments? Thatās our kind of Monday magic. š«

This week, theĀ Brooks household was groundedāthanks to roof construction chaos and a flurry of doctor appointments. That meant a quieter week in the studioā¦ and a louder one at home. šØš·āļøš
But even through the hammering,Ā we got our big webbing restock delivery!Ā šš¦ Not only are your favorite styles back, but weāve also gotĀ some fresh new colorsĀ joining the lineup. Weāve already started packing them up and getting everything photo-readyāour goal is aĀ Wednesday drop, so stay tuned! šļøāØ
